We each represent part of Minnetonka in the Minnesota State Legislature; we have each worked closely with Deb Calvert over many years in many different capacities; and we each urge you to rank Deb #1 in the upcoming election for Minnetonka City Council At-Large Seat A.

Deb Calvert’s decades of experience working on community-based issues have proven her competence, integrity, and commitment to her neighbors. Deb creatively seeks solutions beyond the limits of city hall. She meets with us annually to advocate for Minnetonka’s priorities and as a League of Minnesota Cities Improving Services Delivery Committee member. Just one example is advocating for sales tax forgiveness on the purchase of materials for Minnetonka’s new safety facilities, which saves you, the taxpayers, a lot of money. Other policy and funding discussions Deb has been involved with include pandemic response funding, environmental issues, public safety, creative workforce housing funding solutions, reforms to Minnesota’s ambulance service industry to ensure life-saving EMS response times in Minnetonka, and local control.

Deb’s relationship with you, her constituents, is of utmost importance. Deb digs deeply into the concerns she hears from you at your doors, researching and working for solutions among us here at the state capitol, as well as colleagues through her service on national, state, regional, and local municipal policy committees. Deb weighs each council decision based on facts, community input, and the long-term impact to Minnetonka. Deb welcomes a diversity of views at the table to help inform the council’s decision-making process.

Deb Calvert is truly a passionate, committed public servant who’s spent her first term moving Minnetonka forward, particularly during these challenging times. Join us in ranking Deb Calvert #1 in early voting beginning Sept 17, or at the polls on November 2nd.

Sincerely, Your Minnesota State Senators and Minnesota House Members
